 Bonfire Night!
Each year on November 5th, celebrations take place across Britan, in rememberance of the capture of Guy Fawkes. Guy Fawkes was part of the famous Gun Powder Plot, where consipirators placed 36 barrels of gunpowder in a cellar underneath the House of Lords.
On the night of November 5th 1605, the foiling of the plot and safety of the King was celebrated with Bonfires all over the country. Since then, every November 5th is celebrated with bonfires, fireworks, and the burning of effigies resembling Guy Fawkes.
