How to Get a Pyro License in My State
There are fireworks rules and regulations at the Federal Level, such as NFPA 1123, but they don’t have a licensing requirement. This requirement is up to individual states, not all of which require the operator of a public fireworks display to have a license. Some local jurisdictions have their own pyrotechnic licensing requirement in states that don’t have a statewide requirement. If you live in CA, WA, or ID, and are wondering how you get a pyro license, you can join our fireworks crew!
